A brief discussion of the case appears in J. Allen Hynek (1977), which erroneously gives the date of the incident as 28 October 1956. Reissued as: J. Allen Hynek, The Hynek UFO Report (New York: Barnes and Noble, 1997), 128-130. In addition, an account by Randle (1999), examines the Blue Book Minot AFB case documentation while demonstrating a lack of acceptable scientific method in the investigations by the Air Force. French author Jean-Jacques Velasco (2004) published a brief account, partially based on the unauthorized use of this author's material. Following, Velasco's co-author, Nicholas Montigiani, published another account in the pulp magazine Top Secret (#20). In February 2005, ABC News aired a two-hour primetime special titled "Peter Jennings Reporting: UFOs – Seeing is Believing", which highlighted the Minot AFB case and interviewed several of the primary witnesses.
